Visibox 3.0

Announcing Visibox 3.0 – a complete architectural restructuring to improve reliability, responsiveness, and extensibility.

Over the past 2 years, we’ve received some amazing feedback from our customers. And while we had created an easy way to control live performance videos, we still wanted to provide more creative possibilities. So we’ve put a new engine into Visibox!

Visibox can now open multiple Projects at once. Each Project is represented by its own Controller window. Yet there is still just one Output window, so you can switch between Projects seamlessly without affecting the audience experience. Additionally, multiple Clips or entire Songs can be dragged from one Project to another allowing easy reuse of visuals across Projects.

It’s now possible to copy media files from the Mac Finder or Windows File Explorer and paste them directly into Visibox. No more dragging and resizing windows to drag or click through folders in a file chooser window.

Selecting multiple Songs allows you to drag multiple Songs between Projects. It also allows editing of multiple Songs in the same way that you can select multiple Clips and edit together.

For our international users, Visibox gets a German translation to join our existing Spanish and French translations.

New features include:

  • Open multiple Projects at once.
  • Drag Songs and Clips between Projects.
  • Select and edit settings for multiple Songs at once.
  • Copy files from OS and paste into Visibox.
  • German translation.
  • New links in the Help menu to our library of free video content, tutorial articles, YouTube channel, and Discord server
  • Project lock ensures that a Project can’t be corrupted by editing on multiple computers at once via a shared drive or cloud service
  • Apple Pencil support for sharing Controller screen with an iPad via Apple's Sidecar feature
  • Improved performance and reliability

The user interface remains mostly unchanged. But we’ve got big plans for new Visibox features and functionality based on our new architecture. Stay tuned!
